End of Year "Comments"
End of the year, time for a two sentence review for memorable games played of 2009, in no particular order!
Demon's Souls (PS3):
Most times died an unjust death. Most challenging boss fights. Most rewarding game of the year(if you are not crushed).
Uncharted 2 (PS3):
Most times of "Holy Shit" uttered while playing. Most damage absorbent main character of the year.
Modern Warfare 2 (PC):
Most civilians massacred. Most "epic" button spamming of the year.
Bayonetta (PS3):
Most entertaining, most times bursted out loud laughing while playing, worst port ever.
Batman Arkham Asylum (PS3):
Smoothest free-flow combat and counter system. Best use of boomerang of the year.
Resident Evil 5 (PS3):
Most ridiculous reasons of (IRL) political rage. Most in-game communications done without communicating in multi-player.
Dragon Age Origins (PC):
Most unbalanced class choices, Most retarded visual gimmick (full-body blood splatter). Most time spent on a single player game.
Street Fighter 4 (PS3):
Most ass-kicking received.
Borderlands (PC):
Highest amount of loot of the year. Most broken multiplayer that remained fun.
Warhammer 40k Dawn of War (PC):
Best mix of STG and RPG game of the year.
Fallout 3 (360/PC):
Most disappointing game of the year.
Killzone 2 (PS3):
Wait, Why did I buy this again?
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP):
Most high-fives during playing. Most technically complicated to multi-play ever.
Final Fantasy Dissidia (PSP):
Most fandom in a package (per cubic inch).
Personal 4 (PS2):
Most desire to continue playing and finish (I won't).
Patapon 2 (PSP):
Best rhythm game of the year. Best use of archery of the year.
Muramasa (Wii):
Most compelling reason for hardware modification. (Only before playing.)
Final Fantasy XIII (PS3):
Most visually stunning (Fantasy), Greatest visual use for useless summons.
Ninja Gaiden 2 (PS3):
Most vigorous controller waving during cut scenes.
Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3):
Most uncreative sequel of the year. Most minstrels stabbed.
InFamous (PS3):
Most seizure inducing game ever. Most power hungry main character ever.
Prototype (PS3):
Most powerful main character of the year. Most uninteresting main character of the year.
This Year's GOTY for me goes to:
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, because there isn't much more like playing with a friend.
